Gotcha?
A "first sight" of a different variety. For a few days now, I've heard, but scarcely seen, evidence of young starlings; they have a particular unmistakable "squawk".
I was out, pointing & clicking when I heard "noises of-stage right". I turned towards the BIG Rhodo (Hence the misleading rhumbnail) Dad Blacky flew out and into the dry "Corpse" which I didn't fell.
Once - In case it did eventually leaf up.
Twice - because the birds use it.
I could barely see the baby Blacky and only got the shot just before it went; so I went instead & left if safe.
I think you might agree (Extra) it took a bit of spotting and a weeny bit of lightening up too.
