Blucifer carousel horse

Today we visited Elitch Gardens, a small amusement park near downtown Denver. I last visited it when I lived here in 2006. Not much has changed at this park. It only has gotten one new roller coaster, which we rode. We only rode one other coaster. Two coasters weren't running, and the last two had long lines and weren't particularly interesting (they are clones; so we've ridden several of the same model).

Today's photo is of a horse on the 1928 Philadelphia Toboggan Co. carousel No. 51. This horse looks similar to Blue Mustang, aka Blucifer, a large sculpture at Denver's airport.

It was a nice day at the park, though a bit short. It closed at 4 p.m. At least we got two coasters in.
