Bed time reading

We went into Nantes today - I wanted a trip to Gallery Lafayette. We missed our train in by minutes and in the rush I paid €25 for parking that didn't last the day. The hour we had to wait for the next train at least gave us time to sort all that out and discover that all we needed to pay was €5 in the car park on the other side of the station. We were rewarded for our wait with a double decker train, much to the delight of the boys!

Nantes wasn't quite as good as it's been on previous holiday visits, it's rained all day long, which kind of hampers any pottering around the place. I did get my trip to the shops and loved wandering around looking at some very beautiful clothes and shoes. I left with one new top which the husband agreed was terribly well restrained!

Back, tired family- not even a trip to the pool. We've all happily read books after supper (amd a game of snakes and ladders). Husband and I have carried on reading after the boys went to sleep!

We were delighted to get back from Nantes with all comforter cuddly toys intact, 5 years ago we lost 'blue bear' - the precursor to the now very much loved Ellie - in the dodgy part of town by the train station. It still makes me sad to think of him dropped on the pavement and left there. The youngest doesn't remember, but we still zipped ellie up in my bag for the day, just to be on the safe side. I don't think any of us would cope if Ellie got lost!
