Busy Spring Day

We were up before 7:00. Both of us had dermatology appointments at 8:15. Hubby had a few spots to be burned but the two that I was worried about were no problem. We picked up potting mix and fertilizer so I could plant my herbs in the new barrel my sister gave me as an early birthday gift. I had just changed into gardening clothes and started potting flowers when Kristen called to ask if I could pick Chase up from school. He was not feeling well at all. Another change of clothes and I headed to school. Ate lunch before going back outside. I decided to use these French Mallow blooms for today. I love the multi colors. We worked until 4:30 and I was beat. I feel quite satisfied with my flower pots and garden, just wish I could have had everything planted by Mother’s Day. Hubby trimmed around the formal garden, rotated the tires on his SUV and bagged up the excess cut grass. It had certainly gotten tall while we were in WV. We had a typical spring storm soon after we came in. Dinner is cooked; it’s going to be a night to rest this old body. Hope you found time to rest today. Stay safe. Thank for your visit.
"May and June. Soft syllables, gentle names for the two best months in the garden year: cool, misty mornings gently burned away with a warming spring sun, followed by breezy afternoons and chilly nights." — H. Peter Loewer
