40th Celebrations

I arrived at our HQ in Bjerringbro this morning (short drive from Viborg) and had a day of meetings planned at various buildings.

I was headed to my second meeting of the day when I timed it to perfection a colleague celebrating her 40th year working for the company.

In Denmark, they make a big deal for your 25th and 40th anniversary. You are picked up (with spouse) in one of the old family cars and brought to HQ and are joined for lunch by Group Management. They do this regardless of your job role, etc and is a wonderful experience.

We had 150 people walking flags and celebrating and our colleague walked round everyone to shake hands and thank them.

Lovely touch.

I met so many colleagues today it was pretty cool.
