After the book launch

Skipped class this afternoon to go to the book launch of a very old friend of mine, John Fowler, (we used to work on the same newspaper The Glasgow Herald where he was Arts Editor).

His new book, A Season in Strathglass, is based on his time spent over the years walking and talking to the people who live in these three glens, which have been described as the finest in the Highlands.

Here he is seen relaxing in his garden in Linlithgow, on the outskirts of Edinburgh, on a late hot summer afternoon.

People had started to depart when a over a neighbour calls across the hedge :"He's won"
And cheers go up for Andy Murray.
