Strength
The poor weather continued today and due to a national holiday tomorrow, I decided to work from home. The plan was to avoid having to drive home in the terrible traffic that coincides with holidays. I have a friend who left at 2:00 for a trip that normally takes hours and it took them 5 hours! I am glad that I avoided it.
The poor weather continues and I am beginning to wonder whether this is some secret joke Mother Nature is playing on us; I am still waiting for the punch line.
I took a quick break to get some coffee with the Mrs and the little TMGs and the rain stopped briefly. We took advantage and parked next to a small bridge so the little ones could get outside.
I was determined to blip during the the brief. It was doubtful that I would get again and so this was my only chance. What we see here is the hardware used to construct the bridge. Curiously, the bridge is not made out of metal, but rather a composite wood and plastic material and these bolts were used to connect the various pieces.
I liked the pattern of bolts in this shots and purposefully chose a shallow DoF to blur the bolts. I also like how you can barely see more bolts in the distance. I decided to try sepia because I thought it was interesting. (That's what happens when you get stuck indoors!)
Photoshop:
Curves layer to increase contrast
Hue/Saturation layer to create Sepia tone
