Kite Beach

I had to trek up to my bank's nearest branch first thing in the morning. G joined me as she was awake. The first thing to do was to check the radiator fluid. It was low, so I topped it up.

There was a lot more traffic on the highway since the last time I did this trip. It was a few days after our freak storm in April, and things weren't back to normal.

I tried the ATM at the branch before going to the counter. It worked, so I just turned around quickly and treated G to a saffron tea and egg roll (where my blip is taken) before coming back to work. That over, G & I headed out to the new branch of a wine shop that isn't an hour's drive away! I loved its layout and the fact that they had an entire refrigerated room in which they housed the beer! (I didn't go in).

Back home to a pasta meal and a quiet evening. G found the movie Unbroken on one of the free channels. It's not easy to watch, but it sure shows the strength and resilience of the human spirit.
