Cinema
I woke before my 8:30 alarm went off with a mental list of things I wanted to achieve today. G let me have her room in the morning, so I made a dent in the ironing. There is still more left for tomorrow *sigh* :(
I had booked us to watch Garfield at 1:45, so lunch was timed for that. G made (baby) leek and potato soup! Baby leeks were bought when we visited the Organic Food Farm recently. We had thirty minutes to kill when we got to the cinema with no seats available, so I took G into the posh part of the theatre. My blip is the view we had from there. Wafi's Magic Planet is on a small scale, but it seems to have enough to keep kids entertained. Most importantly, it has an air hockey table. G agreed to give me a game or two, but when we enquired about buying tokens, the system was so complex we decided against it.
The movie was interesting and slightly predictable. It seemed to have mixed messages - of Garfield and his crazy relationship with food and finding his father, who he thought had abandoned him.
We treated ourselves to hummus, tabouleh and falafel from Wafi Gourmet to bring home. Hours later, we had M&S scones and clotted cream for dessert. :))
I finished a new video while we waited to attend the memorial service of my elder sister's father-in-law. He died last month in Vancouver, and thanks to modern technology, friends and family thousands of miles away can join in. The service started at 2 PM local time, that was 1 AM for us!
