Thank you for the puffin stars and hearts!
Another busy day and we didn’t get as much done as we hoped. There’s so much to do to get the van and ourselves trip ready yet I foolishly had made a hair appointment for 1.30pm. I needed it cut because we hope to be away for a month. While Mr C did the strimming in the garden I got all the van bedding sorted and compiled the stock of food and other stuff to go in the van. I got some clothes organised too and prepared a courgette kofta from the Fresh India cookbook for tonight’s dinner with stuff needing used up.
The hair only took 15 minutes as Laura is a speedy multi-tasker. We drove on to town as Mr C had intended getting € yesterday. We also needed to drop off the house plants at #3 daughters and take her our strimmer to borrow. Then we went to the Apple shop as there was an offer on to upgrade my phone before 3 June. Stupidly - again - I’d not backed up my phone on the iMac before we left so we’ll have to make another trip tomorrow as they are offering a good deal on my present phone, plus 0% interest for 24 months. Mr C went to Sainsbury while I spent a bit of time with Nathaniel - we practiced his lines for an audition for Hamnet as his mum went to pick up Ella from drama club - he’s missing out as he’s working tonight.
It’s been a lovely warm day - when the sun was out otherwise 17 degrees. Thomas and James got tennis racquets so their mum took them to the local courts to have a knock up.
We are spending this evening cleaning the van ready to get underway on Monday. My blip is some of the books I’m taking. Thank you Blipper P for suggesting I got the hardback of Thunderclap - the illustrations are lovely. Makes me want to re-visit Bruges - I went on my bike about 40 years ago
