Beach time

Today we drove to four different beaches nearby, each with their own ‘personality.’ My favorite was this one (Caleca Velha) that you can see from the tiny little village perched on a hillside: the views and water were spectacular and worth the hike up and down.

Two of the other beaches resembled development gone crazy with lots of construction of tall buildings and a mass of umbrellas and beach cabins on the beaches. Not my taste. The last one was fairly out of the way and obviously a locals hangout: still unspoiled by the like of us tourists ;)
