Retreat

This morning we had a period of retreat at Priestfield church. A time to pause and reflect and pray.

There was a range of activities: for example from art to contemplation to planting seeds. I opted for the outdoor observing nature option. It was a lovely day and there was lots to see.

A monkey puzzle tree and an old tree trunk provided photos of the complexity of nature and the bird life showed nature in action - see extras.

It was a lovely way to spend the morning in communion with members of all three congregations who will be voting on Sunday whether to merge in union.

At the end, three different plants - each flowering white but of different characteristics - were symbolically planted together as one.

It was such a warm sunny afternoon that much was spent in the garden.
