Uncle bonding

We did a round trip to Lancaster today to visit the family and see our grandson - now 12 weeks old. While he is the centre of attention it was lovely to catch up with the parents too.

We went out for lunch and he behaved very well. His uncle kept him entertained and gave him cuddles as in the photo.

It was not always smiles and happy gurgles - but it was for a lot of the time allowing us to get some more photos (see extra) of the cute smiles. (He probably felt he had to make up for the disturbed night he had given his parents the night before.)

The day had started grey in Edinburgh but by lunchtime in Lancaster it had turned into a lovely day. On the drive back the scenery was glorious. Unfortunately some of the driving we witnessed was not with, at one point, behaviour which was dangerous. Fortunately that was the exception and overall the trip passed of easily.
