More Family Fun and Frolic
I started the day making the beans for the party. As usual, it took way longer than I expected but I like to season them with meat and spices. Kim asked me to make a bit more potato salad as well. We changed linens, did a load of laundry, vacuumed and scrubbed floors , other general house cleaning. It felt good to have everything in order. The party was a grand success as you can see. Kim had several outdoor games set up. Folks really enjoyed themselves. The weather was perfect. She offered a wide variety of tasty food and drink. We met a lovely family from Australia - the husband is stationed at our local Navy base and plays pickle ball with Kim’s hubby (another Mancil). They hope to be here a few more years so I am sure we’ll see them again. It’s 10:30 pm and we are finally heading home with a cooler full of leftovers. I hope your weekend is turning out as nice as ours. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit. “Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family: Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.” - Jane Howard
