24th…. Heading home

Of course the sun shone on our last day!

We had breakfast and then loaded up for our journey home.  We managed to get an earlier ferry, around midday.  Once back in Blighty the roads were busy due to Friday/bank holiday/ half term/ roadworks…. You name it we had it.  Think it was about 4pm we got back to school with lots of happy parents waiting to see their children.  Once they were safely ensconced in the arms of their parents and all started to depart, we headed home too.  Me back to Josh’s to await Mr C to pick me up.

We had to take a detour back home from Josh’s due to lane closures on the A3 towards us.  So our 20 min journey took over an hour and a half.  However, that was nothing to a teacher at school whose journey is probably 20-30 minutes and took her 5 hours….5 hours! …even Hugh Grant got stuck in it and grumbled profusely on X

We had the French cheese I brought back and a glass of wine to finish off my French week.

Extra taken yesterday evening of view from behind hotel.
