Sunshine Sunday!
What a joy to see blue skies and feel warmth in the sunshine. It was a stunning day for a long walk from Baildon over the moor towards Ilkley and back via Shipley Glen and the tops once more. Brilliant views in every direction.
Matthew had to go to sleep at 3:30pm as per Sunday, the wonders of being a night manager...so off I headed and to nail painting! I have gone for a main shade by My Mood which happens to be named Smiley and a top coat of a shimmery pale pink glitter called Unicorns Are Real. :-)
I'm very sad to hear of the passing of Rob Burrow at just 41 year old following his battle of Motor Neurone Disease. My heart goes out to his family and Kevin Sinfield too. My Grandad died of the disease; it's a cruel illness that slowly destroys the very being of an individual whilst all the family can do is watch as their loved one died before their eyes. The work Rob, and Kevin, have done will help those with MND see there are people out there who care about them, and love them, and provide them some hope.
I think we can all be inspired in the way Rob never seemed to accept that he couldn't do something. He will continue to inspire us all every day. In a world full of adversity, we must dare to dream.
Back to school tomorrow after a whirlwind of a week off...dare to dream? I think I have this week!!
