Green Bottle ( Lucilia sericata )

A bit of a lazy morning followed in the afternoon with Jungle fighting gardening.  Parts of the garden have been neglected not given sufficient attention.

During one of our breaks we were sitting down in Clickychicks woodland garden with a glass of sherry.  That area always seems to have Green Bottles, so I took the chance to grab a shot.  These are the flies that cause sheep farmers a problem laying eggs in the dirty wool.  Interestingly they are also the flies used in maggot therapy.
