Jervauix Abbey

Taken on a walk in the Yorkshire Dales National Park near to Leyburn. The Abbey was founded in 1156 and was once one of the great Cistercian Abbey's it is now an enchanting charming and atmospheric ruin.

The walk followed paths by the side of the River Ure and entered Leyburn from the east. The sun shone all day and the day must have been the hottest of the year.
