St James Church Brindle

Taken on an evening walk this church is at the centre of the ancient village of Brindle Lancashire. In pre Reformation days it was known as St Helen's.

The first rector is recorded as Ughtred in 1190. The present tower was constructed about 1500 and two of the original bells are still regularly rung.
