Wound up in Wexford

The view from my seat

Before the "hordes" arrived.  As a small amateur orchestra we are fortunate to be able to play in a venue like The National Opera House, but can never hope to draw sufficient audience to fill it.  Ticket sales had been quite poor, and at one stage I wondered if the orchestra might outnumber the paying customers.  In the end, we played to a reasonable crowd.

Centre stage here is Mary, our conductor.  She's not very tall.  The Opera House provided her with a small podium, which meant I had a better view of her than I normally have at rehearsals.

We played the best we ever had for most of the items so I think (hope) the audience enjoyed the concert.
