2024 Sunday — Dinner from the Sea
Not too long ago Mr. Fun & I listened to a doctor (at an online conference) explain that to enhance brain health (memory) we should eat more fish. So I’m learning to cook fish (and I’m wondering if we ever get too old to learn).
I know some of you are expert cooks. I’m not. The restaurants here on California’s Central Coast serve fish prepared deliciously. This evening I baked two halibut fillets and prepared a sauce with “salt-free” butter, finely chopped garlic, and a small amount of capers (they are sodium loaded).
I don’t think I earned an A+, but our meal was worth eating. I also prepared a tossed salad and a couple slices of garlic toast. For dessert we each devoured a piece of See’s candy.
