Monday Sunshine

It felt like being on a seaside holiday this morning. The sun shone, the breeze was westerly, the sea was calm and the tide was just right.  Daughter #1 and I frolicked in the water for fully 25minutes. We swam, we floated, we ducked and dived and we managed a watery handstand or two. There was no rushing for a bus home , we were just enjoying being in the moment. After the winter and spring that we have had , summery weather is all the more appreciated………….and one cannot guarantee that tomorrow it won’t be cold and wet again.

Finally we made it to McDonald’s at Meadowank for coffee and for me to change   buses to get home. We both acknowledge the fact that our Porty experience doesn’t quite  match that of the harbour pool in Cullen or the slip at Stromness , but today came very close and who else can say they are able to swim in the sea half an hour away from the centre of a capital city.
