Enjoying The Orchids

……… I walked up to the community orchard after the fence people had finished ( see extra ). I wanted to see if the beautiful orchids were out yet and they are popping up all over the place and looking rather lovely ;-)

Unfortunately the fence people have to return because hubby says the fence has been put up back to front ( it’s our fence so etiquette dictates the ‘nice’ side should be facing the neighbours garden). I was a bit miffed as I felt as we paid for it we should have the plain side and wasn’t really aware of the etiquette. I went round to the neighbour to see if she was bothered about it and much to my frustration, she agreed with hubby ( but said so in a very diplomatic way ). We’ve always got on okay with her so as I was outnumbered I had to phone the chap to come back ( which will cost us more as he hasn’t done anything wrong). Apparently, that etiquette is a bit outdated and the person who pays usually has the nice side these days, but not when you’re married to a dinosaur, humph ;-/
