Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Vet's Office

This Max in the examination room at the vet's office. Mitzi and Chloe were there also, but they wouldn't pose for the photo.

It was a week ago yesterday that we got the three pooches back from a week at the kennel after our return from Family Camp. All of them have done entirely too much coughing and sneezing this week, so when Max started in with the coughing yesterday morning we decided that it was time to take them in for a check. The kennel is at the vet's -- it is an animal hospital and kennel all in one.

So we've now come home with some meds for all three of them and a few more things to purchase at the drug store tomorrow. Actually, once we made the phone call yesterday to schedule an appointment, all three of them seemed to stop the coughing. So today seemed like a terrible waste of time, not to mention money, but when we phoned yesterday the vet's receptionist said "kennel cough" is something that should not be neglected and it is contagious. The vet never told us today that they had "kennel cough," but we now have peace-of-mind (I think).

Feeding each of them a capsule of antibiotic after we got home was not a fun moment, but we did accomplish the task. Now we have to continue this for 10 days, twice a day. Good grief!

So another episode in the ongoing story of Max, Mitzi, and Chloe.

Good night from Southern California,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
