Tea break

An early visit to the hospital. J had been moved onto a ward and the seizures seemed to be under control. So after a helpful conversation with the consultant, I left him sleeping.

A quick trip to the garden centre for a wander out of the rain and a brew this afternoon. After (unsurprisingly) sleeping badly last night, I didn’t want afternoon caffeine so opted for a peppermint tea/infusion. The second cup from the pot was obviously stronger.

Then back up to the hospital after some food. J’s breathing sounded terrible, but two doctors reviewed him and listened to his chest so decided that it was secretions in upper respiratory rather than chest. Hopefully some drugs prescribed through a nebuliser will sort that. He’s not really been alert at all today, but both doctors thought that there wasn’t any further seizure activity. Hoping to get some proper sleep tonight before we see what tomorrow brings.
