D DAY. CELEBRATION’S CONTINUED ! !

This is Southsea beach where the troups .;2400 went out from here over the Solent to France . The weather forecast was dire , but still they went ? These brave men & wemen must have been terrified not knowing what they would find. Wadding through muddy water up to their knees but the weather was with them after all because it soon changed & sending the enemy to the wrong destination.
Southsea put on a wonderful celebration this morning a well deserved tribute to the occasion. ( FOR OUR TODAY THEY GAVE THEIR TOMORROW ) there is still a few left to tell the story, but not one of them want to be called a “ hero” but yes every one of them are in my book.!
My wonderful neighbour took me to the hairdressers this morning ( as the salon will be closed on Saturday , all stylists are out doing hair for a wedding )
I’m surprised what a difference a day makes , can’t believe how much better I feels, just hope it lasts. Positive thoughts .!
Daisy is with me tonight, so that’s a bit of company. Hope this dry bright weather continues as K has taken A out to dinner tonight & it would be nice for them to have an evening stroll maybe.

DO HOPE YOU’VE ALL HAD AN ENJOYABLE DAY!

A BIG THANK YOU TO THE BRAVE MEN & WOMEN WHO RISKED THEIR LIFE FOR US ALL. Some of who LOST THEIRS.
