Watching the continued memorial of the WW2.This time I have colloaged some of the Americans & veterans.loads of dignitaries were at Gold beach for a service of remembrance. This is where troops landed along with Juno beach taken by the Americans , the Canadians also were in the fold.Heads of State & King Charles with his Queen & President Macron with his wife.
The invasion of Normandy was the biggest operation ever staged in the world.
After seeing this very poignant programme I took A to The Landing Hotel forlunch at Biggin Hill Airport very enjoyable, after which A took me shopping .
End of a perfect day Son inLaw collected Daisy ( whom I'd had over night) at 10.45am. He & KJD had been to dinner out with an over night stay after the relief results.
DO HOPE ALL HAVE HAD A GOOD DAY along with my granddaughter who's birthday was today.
