Emerging

………. I went for a nice walk around the fields and while I was out I spotted this nest of caterpillars - I’m having trouble identifying them ……. the nearest I can get is the Small Egger Moth caterpillars- any help greatly appreciated ;-)
I also heard skylarks and watched some swallows skimming over the crops to catch insects. I tried to get a shot of them but they proved too fast for me as I’m extremely out of practice.
I did manage a very distant shot of one of the Skylarks ( see extra) but I will return to have another go.

We should be burying mum’s ashes tomorrow ( if that blinking unreliable vicar remembers). It’s not something I’m looking forward to but it was what she wanted and it’s the last thing I can do for her. I’ll just be relieved when it’s all done ;-)
