Coming Back To You . . . Leonard Cohen

This morning we said goodbye to my niece and headed for Rotorua.  We were amazed at the expansion of new houses south of Papamoa and then came upon a large area of land clearance for a proposed industrial park.  Things change when you have been away a few years.  
In Rotorua we had a quick look at the lake front development of a boardwalk and impressive statues.  I was trying to have Mokoia Island in the background.  These pou/poles are made from stainless steel and represent the future.  A laser cutter was used to create the pattern inspired by the kowhaiwhai growth pattern.
