A Day At A Time.

Science Museum

We had a few hours spare in London as our flight home was not until 6:30.

So what better - and cheaper - way to spend a few hours if not touring the Science Museum? Especially as it was halfway between us at Earls Court and Victoria Station.

Last time I was there was with a school trip from Christ's Hospital back in about 2004.

And at last I got to see Charles Babbage's Difference Engine, a fiendishly powerful mechanical calculator, designed back in 1823, but not actually completed until a few years ago by technicians from this very museum.

And it worked precisely as Babbage had claimed it would.

Fancy.
