Not a poppy
When I was a young woman, poppy sellers were ubiquitous on June 6, reminding us of the sacrifices made by the US and its allies to preserve democracy and stop the fascists. Today I saw none, and that shouldn't have surprised me at a time when one political party wants to betray those allies and start their own police state. I hope enough people remember and stop it from happening here.
Another lovely day here, but dialysis went long today because the tech was late starting me on the machine. I got two more hepatitis B shots, but the nurse let blood stain the neck of one of my favorite shirts. I hope I can get that stain out.
I headed up to the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions, but it turned out that there weren't any. I need to look for a refill of one of my medications, because apparently I got it in late May.
I felt pretty good when I got home earlier, but am starting to feel really worn as time has gone on. Tomorrow will be my epidural steroid injection and Lex will be taking me there after all, as it turns out they won't be leaving for their weekend away until after I need to be at the surgery center. So I'll just need to Uber on the home trip.
There won't be any Twinsday this week, as the family won't be home from their weekend until Sunday night. I hate to miss a week.
