Philadelphus

I decided to keep the Philadelphus in branches rather than cut it down for vases.  It obviously means we can’t use this table but it provides a blast of scent when you open the front door. 

Another early start - on the 7am train and got to the post house just after 8.30. Signed off some more VFX and then went to the office for a full on day including a zoom with some Italian producers over lunch. 

Came home at the usual time, Vikram was at a dinner in London so i had a simple supper and watched The Unheard Tapes, the D Day documentary where they lip sync young actors with the voices of the survivors.  Spellbinding and incredibly immersive. 
 
Rachel texted me from up on Harting Down where she’d been present at the lighting of the beacon.  She sent me a beautiful picture of it in the fading light.   Stepping outside in the dark I could see it still burning.
