Kimono : Kyoto To Catwalk

Today we went to the V&A Dundee to see the Kimono exhibition.

This was one of my favourite pieces. Description is in the ‘extras’. 

Another favourite was the skater inspired modern kimono made for the exhibition.

Lots of interesting information about the construction, fabric decorating techniques and how the kimono evolved and influenced design around the world. Feeling a bit inspired. I may have to make one myself.

A little wander and stopped to say hello to Desperate Dan, Minnie the Minx and Oor Wullie.
