Horses

A blustery day, and a chance of heavy showers. A few things to do at work. Only did a wee walk at lunchtime as my sister, and husband, who live in the Netherlands are coming to visit in the afternoon. They are here to collect their daughter, who was studying a minor course at Abertay Uni. Partner and I have a quick lunch, then I am back to work until my sister arrives.

There is a heavy shower just as my sister arrives, but thankfully it stops. We plan to walk over the Braids for afternoon coffee. However, another shower appears, so we wait 10 minutes before heading out. Unfortunately, another shower appears, but thankfully, it is very short and doesn't stop the walk. We have a dry climb up the hill. And there are impressive views for the visitors to enjoy when we get to the top. On the way down, we also pass a farm, main blip showing horses, and Highland Coos. We have a nice relaxing coffee at a garden centre café and have a good chat before heading back to my house. They leave so they can check in to their hotel

We meet up later for pizza at Pizza Express (a special request as there aren't that many chain restaurants in The Netherlands). There is more chat and catching up. One of those times you wish it could be longer, but life always gets in the way. But it has been a lovely afternoon and evening.
