South Cottage, Sissinghurst Castle Gardens

We had a really good day out at to National Trust’s Sissinghurst Castle. A mass of colourful flowers and plenty of insects.

The fabulous buildings complimented the beautiful flowers and plants. The brickwork is so interesting, different textures and repairs add much interest.

We walked around the Estate afterwards, through woodlands and orchards and past lakes in a very enjoyable amble.

Good evening at the Bearsted and Thurnham Society’s AGM of which I am the membership secretary. Our reward for the sitting through the meeting was copious amounts of wine - after which we still had to clear up the hall!
