BIRTHDAY CAKE

It was my birthday today and it was a lovely one.

Some flowers and chocolates arrived in the post this morning from Becky.  Lovely sunflowers which Im sure will be a future blip.

I had an appointment this afternoon with the nurse for my annual check up.  Didn't particularly want it on my birthday but these days you have to take any appointment you are offered.  So I saw the nurse.  She took blood for testing.  My blood pressure was OK.  I weighed 5 pounds more than last year - and Im about an inch shorter. I came in at 4' 8¾ inches. ( I was 5' tall at one time )

Next stop was Tesco to pick up a parcel and get some food shopping. Then I popped into Greggs to get my birthday treat.  If you have the Greggs app you get a free sweet treat on your birthday.  I chose a chocolate éclair. Then back home.  It was raining heavily all the way home and it was quite windy.

I had a cup of coffee and ate my éclair - it wasnt big enough for 73 candles so I made do with 3.

Around 4pm I had a WhatApp video call with Becky. Astrid was there too but she was in her buggy so I didn't see much of her.  I had a nice catch up with Becky. 

Then at 5pm I had another WhatSapp video call with my blip friend justbe who lives near Boston, USA.  It was lovely to see and talk to her and we had a lovely long conversation.  I even managed to catch sight of Raven one of her cats. 

Then at 6.30pm my brother John and sister in law Virginia called to pick me up and we went to The Woodmans Arms for a meal.   Neil and Rachael were invited but Rachael is away in Bristol at the moment - she's gone with her sister to see Take That.  Neil wasn't able to come either as he's looking after his friends dog Lola and he didn't want to leave Luna and Lola at home by themselves... just in case they got into mischief.  

I chose chicken supreme for my meal.  It was very tasty. Ive added a couple of photos from the Woodmans as an Extra.   After the meal we dropped John off at home as he wanted an early night.  Virginia then took me home.  It was great to see them and exchange family news.

It was around 10.30pm when I got home and I had a few chores to catch up with so Ive ended up posting this blip at 1.50am.   So I will have to catch up with comments tomorrow ... or should I say later today.
