enhanced the colours and encouraged dozens of young Sand Martins to fly under the Lime tree feeding on the insects. However, walking into the teeth of a very strong, icy north westerly wind cut short my walk! It was hard going! The nesting gulls were noisy and active in their colony too. At home, the Starlings continue to feed their families on the lawn, great to see and hear. Counted at least 23 and they’ve been here for three days now!
