Teamwork
Having looked through the pictures I captured yesterday, I find that they are mostly of food and drink. That is, I feel, a good representation of a day that was mostly punctuated by food and drink.
I had booked a table at midday for brunch and opted for a chicken sandwich and coffee. Mr RIU wasn't hungry so stayed poolside. It was a good sandwich but the booking in advance system and the lack of air-con in any of the Al la carte restaurants isn't really working for us. I could.make a decent guess about where and when I'd like to eat if we were at home but would still prefer to be flexible. Here, not even my guess was too good.
I spent a good period of time floating around the pool and watching ants working together to carry a large fly across the deck. The way that they work together is impressive. MrRIU was suffering from the heat a bit today and our team work was rather one sided.
We had decided to eat in the buffet restaurant a few times during our stay and today was the second of those days. We enjoyed drinks and people watching before dinner. The restaurant dress code enforcement is interesting with women definitely getting cut more slack with footwear choice. I had the first mojito of the holiday and was enjoting how it matched my dress when the waiter brought me a 'surprise' amaretto sour. Both were good.
We were unable to resist having Black Forest Gateux, which reminds us of my Pa, for desert.
I had tried phoning Pa earlier in the evening but he said the time was inconvenient so it was a very short conversation.
