Life in a Northern Town

Jet d’Eau

We made it. A super stressful trip to the airport as the M60 was a complete mess, but then a very smooth check-in and flight. An hour long queue for passport control at Geneva was annoying - especially as the airport was otherwise deserted - but hey ho, we are where we are!

We’ve had crepes overlooking the Jet d’Eau, and this evening we are going for dinner in the old town with John’s former boss, which we are really looking forward to. Geneva is one of the most expensive cities in the world (beaten only by Singapore and Zurich) - a 10cl “glass” of wine at an outdoor kiosk was 7CHF. I’m not sure in what world 10cl equates to a glassful….!

Extra - the fancy staircase in the hotel.
