GARDENER'S WORLD
(Backblip) We visited Haddon Hall today - what a lovely house and gardens. My camera's battery ran out soon after we got there which was a shame as there were so many great things to see both inside and outside the house, which my phone couldn't really do justice to. As we were leaving I spotted the Gardener's World presenter Rekha Mistry working in the garden and chatting to a visitor over the wall.
It was a two-café day today. Lunch at the splendid café at the Hall, and then on to Bakewell to sample the famous puddings and tarts, which turned out to be a huge disappointment and no better, in fact probably worse than anything bought in the local supermarket. The offerings yesterday at Eyam were so much better!
