'Ramsden'

I returned to my recorder lesson today after too long a gap because we have been so very busy.  As I walked up through Saltaire, it was clear the village has once again been starring in filming as can be seen by the props awaiting collection.  A quick google has turned up 'The Choral' by Alan Bennett, starring Ralph Fiennes and Jim Broadbent.  With those credentials it will hopefully be one to look out for.  It's set in 1916 in the fictional community of Ramsden which has lost its choristers to the War.  Teenagers on the edge of conscription are recruited to form a choir.

My recorder teacher started slowly today, for which I am grateful as I was definitely rusty and there were quite a few bum notes.
