Waiting Patiently
It's been another busy old day. The supermarket delivery arrived and then I set about moving the stones for the wall re-building away from the elder tree in preparation for the arrival of the tree surgeon tomorrow. We had an appointment with Alex, our Financial Adviser which was successfully completed fairly quickly.
The delivery was missing several key items so Tony headed off to Keighley and I parcelled up our winter down jackets to send off to Scottish Mountain Gear for cleaning and took them down to the Post Office.
Next to arrive was a delivery chap with our RSPB pole. We are going to try it in several different places. It will certainly struggle to replace the elder tree but within moments of me hanging the feeders on it, the small birds were using it, including this young sparrow waiting for its parents to feed it. I think they were trying to encourage it to use the feeders.
As the weather turned cold and the rain arrived, I spent some time on Euan's book, about our day at London Zoo and then headed out for a soggy hobble with WilsdenWalker. We were both glad to be out despite the weather.
