Bramham War Memorial

This is Bramham war memorial in the village square. I am blipping it in its current state for a record…as by now it should have been cleaned and restored. This was expected to have been done by the 7th June..but that was depending on the weather..which, as we know, hasn’t been brilliant. As it is a listed structure, the work has to be done ‘professionally’..not just Fred from the village with a Kärcher pressure washer….so it is not a cheap exercise.

Some work has been done in the last few years…the wooden posts around the edge were replaced with stone ones…but several of those have already been knocked down and replaced….

I had hoped that there would not be any cars around the square..it is normally a bit of a car park. Local residents have been asked not to park to allow access for the work..but I guess one person didn’t get the memo!! I dare say that cones and/or barriers will be put up while work is in progress anyway!

I hope to blip it again after completion…maybe without too many cars…
