Glacier
I think this is the Bossons Glacier but there are two close to each other.
We had a slightly frustrating day. We went to Chamonix on the train and had a coffee. Then we decided to take the train a bit farther north and went Vallorcine. We remembered from skiing here that there wasn’t a lot to the place but we hadn’t realised the whole place would be completely and utterly, closed. Shut. Dead. Silent . Deserted.
No lunch to be had there then.
So we wandered around until the next train back to Cham and realised that everything is very quiet until the 15th June.
Had a good late lunch back in Chamonix and did a bit of shopping and came back to the camp site. I took photos of the glacier from the train, only to realise the best view were from the campsite.
The train is excellent and free and frequent. It is paid for from the local tourist tax.
