Standing Stones

There are a lot of standing stones on this island and all have some significance but their real purpose is not known. These stones were the Ring of Brodgar - famous in these parts and amongst archaeologists. We joined a tour which was fascinating but also extremely cold!!!
Now warm and well fed overlooking Widewall Bay (extra) on the southern part of the island. Tomorrow we head for the ferry and back to northern Scotland to continue our journey.
