Lovely Lupins

A fine day, mostly cloudy with sunny spells and a sunny evening.  Showers started tonight.  Mostly calm all day, gentle breeze this evening.

Up early, a morning around the house, before setting off for a 10am start in the airport.  A day working on the check-in desk.  A few delays, but got everyone moving.  Enjoyed a lovely sunny walk with Sammy this evening, now feet up.

It certainly feels like one of those years, nine months of winter, three months of shite.  Although it has been a better day, not been many lately. Tomorrow and Saturday both looking like gales and rain.  I do have to wonder why I'm still here, when I could be somewhere so much warmer and settled.  A Shetland garden is a tough one, work hard to maintain and grow, then a gale comes and destroys all your hard work.  Zandra's (Gilfillan) lupins are looking amazing just now, such vibrant and cheery colours in the sunshine this evening.  Here's hoping they survive the next couple of days.  Taken on Berry Road, Scalloway.
