Not Our Table

A very productive day.

We've been to Witney to collect mrsfb's new reading glasses. We should have gone to Specsavers. Oh hang on, we did. Then lunch in Pizza Express. It was empty and I requested the prime window table. No, that's reserved was the answer. So you can reserve a table in Pizza Express. Who knew?

After lunch mrsfb had her nails done. Not in Pizza Express, somewhere else. Pink this time.

We also found another garden design and maintenance outfit, with an actual office in Witney high street. They were very nice and helpful so we have booked for someone to come and see what we need doing. The gardener we saw last week, after his initial enthusiasm, hasn't got back to us with anything .

Before we came home mrsfb bought some new pyjamas in Sainsbury's. I read somewhere that you know you are old when you buy your clothes from the same shop that you buy your food in. Not much longer though. I'm just about to finalise our last Sainsbury's delivery for tomorrow before we switch over fully to Ocado.

I bought a bottle of beer in Sainsbury's by the way, Spaten, imported from Munich. It has a nice top which I thought would make an appropriate final addition to my holder I blipped yesterday. After all it was a present from Munich based daughter#2 and SIL#2.

During the day we had some strange weather. Torrential rain when we set off and heavy rain forecast all day in Witney. I wore my Tilley hat and then needed it to keep off the sun when we arrived. It was a lovely day, hardly a cloud in the sky. Then mid afternoon the rain arrived again. I had a dry head but it got so heavy it came through my coat and soaked my shoulders.
