Rocks
Dad was playing table tennis this morning and Mum going to Chatty Cafe so I caught the bus to Tunbridge Wells, a place I’ve never been to, to see what it was like.
It was a lovely bus ride, just under an hour and costing £2. Busy roads around the town …but also a huge green space called The Commons https://visittunbridgewells.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/TW_Common_Walking_Trails_leaflet_3600.pdf, crisscrossed by paths and with these amazing sandstone rocks in the North East corner. They’re called Wellington Rocks, named after a hotel.
I visited the Pantiles and the mineral water spring, which was the big reason for early tourists to visit the town. Some nice shops up in the main part of town, too, which thankfully is largely pedestrianised.
This evening I’ve watched the first half of the Scotland - Germany game. It’s not going well.
