Magnus

Today was a ‘town day’ - a wander round Kirkwall and visit to St Magnus Cathedral. I was booked on a tour of the upper levels of the cathedral - only space for me not MrKT. We are not generally keen on joining tours but this one has come highly recommended.
With an excellent guide and a group of just 6, we were taken up narrow winding staircases to the eves of the cathedral and then up the bell tower to the roof top. So many interesting facts and stories form the guide - I felt like I could go back and do it all again.
Back down to earth Kirkwall is a strange place - with groups from the cruise ships wandering round ( probably wondering if the weather is always like this in Scotland).
After a couple of nights ‘wild camping’, We booked ourselves in to a campsite for the night - which meant a shower. About time too.
