Park Runners…..

……. Early this morning after a night of rain. Runners, Walkers, babes in strollers, dogs on leads. Dozens and dozens of people of all ages running and walking the route from downtown Riverside Park to a turning point not far from the Burleigh Bridge. Five kms I believe. Maisie and I weren’t part of them as we had started our walk much earlier.
Late morning I attended another funeral.
The former Chief of Police for Marlborough, former Marlborough District Councillor, a tireless contributor to community life, keen fisherman and a true gentleman. . He’d written his own service and it was lovely and “very Roger”. RIP Roger. A life well lived indeed.
